• The Lady and the Unicorn – À Mon Seul Désir Jigsaw Puzzle

Step into one of the greatest mysteries of medieval art with this extraordinary jigsaw puzzle featuring À Mon Seul Désir ("To My Only Desire"), the most famous panel from the celebrated Lady and the Unicorn tapestry cycle.

• The original tapestries are housed in the Musée de Cluny, National Museum of the Middle Ages, Paris.

This magnificent image is part of a legendary set of six monumental tapestries created around the year 1500. Five depict the senses of Sight, Hearing, Touch, Taste, and Smell, while the sixth, À Mon Seul Désir, remains one of the most intriguing enigmas in art history. Scholars continue to debate its meaning. Is it love? Free will? Understanding? Renunciation of earthly pleasures? More than five centuries later, no definitive answer exists.

In this tapestry, a noble lady stands before a magnificent blue pavilion embroidered with the words**"À Mon Seul Désir."** Flanked by a unicorn and a lion bearing heraldic banners, she reaches toward a jewel casket held by an attendant. The scene unfolds against a spectacular crimson millefleurs background, a "thousand flowers" field filled with flowering plants, rabbits, birds, monkeys, and fantastical creatures.

• A Medieval Masterpiece of Astonishing Scale

The Lady and the Unicorn tapestries are not small decorative textiles but monumental works of art. Individual tapestries measure approximately 3.5 to 3.8 metres (11 to 12 feet) high and around 3 to 4.5 metres (10 to 15 feet) wide, creating an immersive experience when viewed in person

• Woven from luxurious wool and silk in Flanders from designs created in Paris around 1500, the tapestries represent the highest level of artistic and technical achievement of the late Middle Ages.
• The Mystery That Endures

Few artworks have inspired as much fascination as The Lady and the Unicorn.
